Bluefields 2008 Outlook
Happy New Year from your friends and neighbors with the Bluefields Homeowners Association. There are many things coming up in 2008 to help us take our minds off the winter chill. In this newsletter you’ll find articles about some of those things.
New for 2008, BHA will offer a discounted membership rate for our Senior Neighbors. All residents
over the age of 65 can join the BHA for the annual rate of $35.00. We wanted to honor our Senior Neighbors with a discount and make it more affordable to participate in the BHA. Those of us who haven’t yet reached this age of distinction can still join for $50.00. When you look at all that the BHA does to better our neighborhood, it’s hard to reason why you shouldn’t join, especially at 3-4 dollars a month.
We also have some new members who will contribute greatly to the Association. To fill the role of Treasurer, Jim Goodrich has stepped forward to keep the books.
One of our new Board Members, Jamison Mitchell will head up the Neighborhood Watch Program. We also have Andrew Bradley, Lara Kuhlman, and Jennifer Surface coming on to the BHA Board for 2008. We are very appreciative of everyone who served in 2007 and those who will do so this year.
Be sure and check the website, to keep up with new members, real estate info from Charlie Simms, and what’s happening in Bluefields. A big “Thank You” continues to go
to Keith LeSuer for his maintenance of our website. Speaking of websites, be sure and visit www.metro15.com a website established by your Councilman Phil Claiborne. There you will find news and things of interest going on in our District.
Be sure and read Mark Fox’s article on Clean-Up Day scheduled for April 12th and Glenda Paulk’s article on the proposed Home Tour to benefit the Buchanan Log Home. Keep an eye out for Bluefields in the Davidson A.M. section of the Tennessean and read about how we are starting a donations drive to challenge other homeowners associations and businesses to donate to the Donelson Gateway fund to landscape the area around Briley Parkway and Lebanon Road. I hope you enjoy your first edition of the BHA Newsletter for 2008 and, if you do, give thanks to Brian and Laura Beth Oliver for their work piecing all this information together into something you can actually read. When you’re finished don’t forget to complete your neighbor survey to send in with this year’s dues. Thanks for your friendship and membership.
